John Lajiness
John Lajiness joined the CBSM back in 2012 and has taught the first two years. He has a great passion for the mission of CBSM because he truly believes that students not only grow in their understanding of the Scriptures, but even more importantly, this insight leads to a greater transformation of their life as disciples.
Above all else, John is a husband and father. He and his wife Michelle have been married for 22 years, and have four children. While caring for his “domestic church,” John has been serving the Church for over 25 years in youth ministry, catechesis, evangelization and pastoral ministry on both the parish and diocesan levels.
For his full time work, John is the Registrar and Director of Enrollment Management at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.
Beyond the realms of theology and ministry, John’s passions include music as a vocalist and composer, cooking for family and friends, camping, all things Michigan football and as of recently, competitive cornhole!!
Favorite Scripture: “Were not our hearts burning [within us] while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” Luke 24:32
