How can we listen and respond to God's Word as Catholics in today's world?
Let our seminary-level, expert faculty members bring the Bible to life, through lecture and discussion, so that God can speak to you through the Sacred Scriptures. With personal engagement and a faith-filled, comprehensive curriculum, this is a Bible study like none other. Our new classes start the week of Sept 18th at St. Patrick in Brighton (Wed 7-9 pm), St. Isidore in Macomb (Thu 7-9 pm), Our Lady of Victory in Northville (Mon 7-9 pm), St. Timothy in Trenton (Tue 7-9 pm), or in a fully-online setting. New participants can also join in a Year B "Encountering Jesus and Joining His Mission" course at Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak (Wed 1-3 p m).

Not your typical Bible study
With the Catholic Biblical School of Michigan, you receive seminary-level, in-person instruction at a local parish, giving you direct access to ask questions and take a deep dive into comprehensive study—in a way that's convenient and relevant to you. We offer four classes that together cover the entire Bible.
- All faculty members hold graduate degrees in Catholic theology and are experienced teachers, deeply devoted to the Catholic faith.
- Your instructor is available to answer questions in person as well as via email.
- Classes are a comprehensive study, including historical context, the Scriptural text itself, and how the Word is still active today in our faith and our lives.
- Our rich structure includes prayer, written reflection, reading, discussion, and Q&A.
You get all this while enjoying an in-person, weekly gathering of Catholics from many parishes in your local area, or the "anytime" and "from any location" convenience of our fully-online class format. And, don't worry, there are no tests or grades!

About the class
-
Year A: Created for Covenant
In Created for Covenant, we begin our journey through the Bible by tracing the story of Israel–the People of God–through the historical books of the Old Testament, from Genesis to 2 Maccabees. Jesus’ earthly ministry flowed forth from this Old Testament context and God’s plan for creation. Through these books we discover that we too are created for covenant. The Old Testament is not merely history, but indeed our story, our family.

When: Weekly from mid-Sept to mid-May.
Where: Parishes in Michigan or from anywhere in the fully-online class
Format for Parish Classes:
1st Hour: Small Group and Instructor Discussion
2nd Hour: Lecture/Presentation
Cost: for those able, $600 annual tuition (50% discount for additional family members)
*donations from past and current participants enable us to say yes to every person who requests a scholarship, we welcome all without financial burden
