Dr. William Kangas
Dr. William Kangas has spent the past 2 decades working to equip followers of Jesus Christ to become the people God is calling them to be. He has worked as a youth minister, church music director, and church leader as a protestant minister, receiving a BA in religious studies from Regent University and a Master of Divinity in from North Park theological seminary.
After becoming Catholic in 2013, He attended the Catholic University of America receiving a Ph.D. in liturgy and sacramental theology, with scripture as an allied field. Dr. Kangas has spent the past 10 years focusing on equipping disciples to faithfully live out their call to complete feed the hungry and care for the sick – working as the national Catholic fellow for Bread for the World, Co-founding Cultivate Coffee and Taphouse, and currently serving as the Executive Director of the Pope Francis Center in Detroit. Billy lives in Ypsilanti with his wife and 5 sons.
