Rob Pelliccia
Rob Pelliccia joined CBSM as an instructor in 2013 and has taught all four years of the curriculum. While he has been a Catholic all his life, he started to become more interested in the Faith as his kids grew older. By reading the Bible and listening to Biblical audio tapes, he gradually developed the courage to lead a Bible study at his church and has continued to do so for over 20 years.
After retirement, Rob decided to go back to school so he could learn more about the Bible. He enrolled in the Master’s program at Sacred Heart Major Seminary and earned his Master’s Degree in Theology there. His thesis was on the Bread of Life discourse from the Gospel of John, Chapter 6:51-58, where Jesus says four times, in four different ways that “he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood, has eternal life...” Ever since he graduated, Rob has been sharing what he’s learned about the Bible at the CBSM and at his parish Bible study that he leads.
His favorite Scripture passage is Colossians 3:12-14, “ Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony ”
In his free-time, Rob has enjoyed restoring his classic cars – a 340 Duster and a ‘68 Charger. Now that they’re completed, he enjoys driving them and bringing them to classic car shows. He also enjoys going to National Parks and going hiking with his wife Mary.
Fun fact: Rob played drums in several different band in his younger days!
