Cathryn Torgerson-Wade
Cathryn Torgerson-Wade fell in love with Scripture when working on her Master’s Degree in Theology. She wrote her thesis on St. Paul, and, after graduation, taught theology part-time at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. She then became a founding member of the Catholic Biblical School of Michigan faculty. A year later, she left her corporate job to work full time for CBSM.
Cathryn has a passion for helping people meet God through His Word and love Him and their Catholic Faith more deeply, especially discovering God’s plan for salvation and help for our lives today in the Old Testament. As a consequence of her teaching and work on the CBSM curriculum, she has outlined the entire Bible.
Cathryn’s favorite Scripture is John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
Outside of CBSM, you can find Cathryn giving presentations to adults in parishes. She wrote a monthly column on the Sunday Gospels for Catechist magazine, and is a contributor to the Living the Word Catholic Women’s Bible from Ave Maria Press. She enjoys visting new places, hiking, spending time with a growing number of grandkids, and drinking a delicious cup of coffee or tea.
