Diane Wendt

Diane Wendt joined CBSM as an instructor in 2017, teaching Years C and D. Her motivation to teach comes from her desire to share the Word of God and, subsequently, the Love of God. While her initial degree was a Bachelors in Zoology, she continued her education during her time as a stay-at-home mom of two girls with a Masters in Theology, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Diane has served as a certified catechist for elementary and highschool students for over 20 years. She is also certified through the Dominican Literacy Center to teach adults to read.

Diane has several favorite Bible verses including Mark 4:40-41, “’Why are you so afraid?’ He asked. ‘Do you still have no faith?’ Overwhelmed with fear, they asked one another, ‘Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?’”

When not busy teaching, Diane enjoys reading. gardening, scrap-booking, and spending time with her two daughters, whom she homeschooled. She also enjoys being involved in her parish, St. Margaret of Scotland, as a member of her parish council, a lector, Eucharistic Minister and catechist.

Fun Fact: Diane loves animals! When she was in college, Diane lived on a pig farm and even got to help the farmer “pull” (deliver) baby pigs! She was also a zookeeper at the Columbus Zoo and Detroit Zoo and studied Pronghorn Antelope in Wyoming!
